Founder Friday: Lite Rain Jacket

Founder Friday: Lite Rain Jacket

Happy Founder Friday!

Lately, travel has looked a little different for me.

What used to be quick trips to China to visit our suppliers…has turned into me adding a few extra days to actually explore.

And on my last trip, I ended up in Tokyo.🗼

Completely fell in love.

But it also reminded me of something real:

The weather doesn’t care about your plans.
And somehow… the apps are always wrong.

That’s when it clicked for me—

I didn’t need another rain jacket.
I needed one I would actually bring with me.

So I made it.

The Lite Rain Jacket.

Same protection you expect from us—
but designed for how I actually move now.

Lightweight.
Easy to pack.
Always within reach.

I got to test that in real time at Mt. Fuji.

It was pouring. Wind going sideways.
The kind of weather where people start turning back.

Umbrellas flipping. Plans changing.

And me?

Amused at how different of an experience this excursion would have been if I left my jacket.

Dry. Hands free. Unbothered and shooting and impromptu video to document my experience. 🎥 😆

That’s when I knew—

this one earned its place.

Because the biggest difference isn’t just how it performs.

It’s that I actually have it with me.

No overpacking.
No “just in case” decisions.
No hoping the forecast is right.

I just go.

And this jacket?

It goes with me.

Plane rides.
Excursions.
Quick trips. Long days.

And yes… it doubles as my backup bag when I need it.

I try not to make these emails feel like a pitch…

…but I’ll say this:

This is the one you want before your next trip.

Because once you have it,
you won’t go back to “hoping for the best.”

First run is limited—and it’s already moving.

Rain or shine.

P.S. We just landed somewhere new ✈️

You can now find Hairbrella inside the Village Market ATL at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (Terminal B).

This space was the vision of my longtime friend and business partner, Dr. Key Hallmon—created to showcase incredible Black-owned brands built right here in Atlanta.

Travel has become such a big part of this journey for us (especially with the Nap Cap), so being in the airport feels like a full-circle moment.

If you’re passing through ATL, stop by and check us out.
