You had other plans. You made it your sleep cap and never gave it back. And honestly? I love that.
It's not the first time I've launched something for one reason and you told me it was actually for something else. You're the boss. 💁🏽♀️
But you probably haven't heard the story of what I originally built it for.
It started with seeing women wearing bonnets at the airport. 😅
Some people might find that inappropriate. But listen, I understand the struggle. Sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do to arrive with your hair intact.
Now here's a true story I almost didn't share. 👀
The first time I had enough points to fly Delta One, I had my sleep cap on and needed to get up for the bathroom. I was surrounded by white and Asian businessmen, and for the first time, I felt a little self conscious about having it on. I even remember a flight attendant scanning my head before acknowledging me.
And no judgment on anyone else's journey. I just know I didn't like feeling like my need to protect my hair made me stick out in that cabin.
I even took a selfie when I got back to my seat, but I was really trying to see if I looked at awkward as I felt")
And needless to say, I don't think we should have to apologize for what we wear to preserve our hair. But it also didn't feel fair. And I knew I wasn't the only woman who didn't want to worry about how people perceived her just because she needs headwear to protect her style.
That flight lit a fire under me. 🔥
I wanted to create something that felt like an everyday item. Appropriate for any casual setting. Where our hair protection remains our business, and the convenience comes built in.
So I went to work on it, and crafted a stretchy satin interior that could sub as a wrap scarf, and made it adjustable to fit snug like a scarf. Without the knot on your forehead. IYKYK.
Then I thought, what if we built in the eye mask too?🙌🏽
That way the headwear contraptions were eliminated completely. As many of you know, I make regular trips to China for manufacturing, and it's a LONG one. I learned real quick that trying to sleep when your body thinks it's 12am but the sun says it's 12pm is a true misery. That sleep is precious. An eye mask on international flights became mandatory for me.
So we went to work creating one right in the cuff. Cooling, plush, and disguised as a beanie cuff.

The eye mask is the cuff. Flip it down and sleep. Flip it up and it's just a beanie. We tucked the facing fabric inward on purpose, so the mask surface never sits exposed or against your hair, picking up oil and dirt.
The stretchy satin interior subs as your wrap scarf, adjustable to fit snug with no front tie. Cooling modal on the outside, plush without adding heat in a stuffy cabin. Slouchy, unisex, and cute enough to wear anyway. She'll handle dust and a drizzle too. Not waterproof, but a light rain won't get you.
